Tragic accident leaves 23 dead… See more

MAIN HEADLINE: THE APOCALYPSE WEEKEND: DEATH SERVED HIMSELF WITH A BIG SPOON ON THE ROADS, LEAVING 23 SOULS ON THE ASPHALT, WHILE THE COUNTRY SINKS AMIDST BIZARRE PHENOMENA, MISERY, AND THE CRYING OF OUR PEOPLE. A “NATIONAL SADNESS” THAT IS KILLING US WHILE WE’RE STILL ALIVE!

SHOCKING SUBTITLE: The internet crashed last night with a notification no one wanted to open, but that everyone saw: “Tragic accident leaves 23 dead… Read more.” That damned “Read more” was the gateway to hell itself. It wasn’t a nightmare, folks, it was the harsh reality that hit us in the face this dark Sunday. Buses turned into iron coffins, elderly people shattered, children bearing the cross of poverty, and even phenomena that seem like the work of the devil. Come on in, come on in, and find out about the most heartbreaking crime story you’ll read this year, because you won’t see this on the mainstream news!

Oh my goodness, my friends! If you, kind reader with a tough stomach and nerves of steel, thought you had seen it all in this vale of tears we call Magical Mexico, I suggest you sit down, take a strong drink to calm your nerves, and cross yourself three times backward, because the summary of what happened in the last 48 hours is more laden with tragedy than the finale of a 9 o’clock soap opera.

Things are not going well, and the entire country woke up with a moral hangover that can’t be cured with chilaquiles. The collage of horror you see at the top of this article isn’t a montage from an American movie; it’s a living portrait of the Mexico that hurts us, the Mexico that bleeds, and the Mexico we sometimes no longer understand!

THE ROAD TO HELL: THE “ROSARIO BUS” THAT NEVER ARRIVED

It all started with that buzz on our cell phones that sent a chill down our spines. The alert was short but chilling:  “Tragic accident leaves 23 dead…” Many of us thought: “I hope it’s fake news, I hope it’s in another country.” But nope. The tragedy had a Mexican postal code.

On one of those forgotten highways, neglected by maintenance and ruled by recklessness, fate played a cruel trick on dozens of families. Just look at the picture of the blue bus, the famous “Rosario Bus.” It was completely crumpled, folks! A steel giant reduced to twisted scrap metal in a matter of seconds.

Witnesses say the blast sounded like the earth was splitting open. Screams, cries, the clanking of metal, and then… the deathly silence. Twenty-three souls. Twenty-three! It sounds simple, but it means 23 families who will have no one to sit at their table today. Fathers returning from work, students with dreams in their backpacks, mothers on their way to visit their grandchildren. All of them wiped out in an instant by Death, who was working a double shift on the asphalt.

The smell of burning diesel mixed with the stench of tragedy permeated the air. Emergency services were overwhelmed. It was a war zone.

THE IMAGE THAT BROKE OUR HEARTS: “NATIONAL SADNESS”

And if the twisted metal weren’t enough to make our knees buckle, just take a look at the elderly couple in the upper left corner. Seriously! That image hurts more than a kick to the shins.

There they are, our elders, the roots of this country, weeping uncontrollably, barely supporting each other. And in their hands, like a death sentence, a newspaper that screams what we all feel:  “NATIONAL SADNESS . ”

Who were they waiting for on that bus? A son who never arrived? Their tears are the tears of us all. It’s the helplessness of watching our country crumble in our hands, leaving us with nothing but sad headlines in the newspaper. That photo is the mirror we don’t want to look into, but there we are.

THE CIRCUS OF THE GROTESQUE: WHEN THE DEVIL IS ON THE LOOSE

But hold on tight, because if you thought that was the end of it, you’re sorely mistaken. It seems that this weekend the gates of hell opened and all the beasts came out at once.

While the country mourned its 23 dead, in other corners of the land, things were happening that science can’t explain. Look at that pig! The bodybuilder pig! What kind of witchcraft is that? A deformed animal, full of muscles that look like tumors. People on the ranches are terrified; they say it’s a sign of the end times, that we’re eating something very bad, or that we’re all doomed.

And to top off this absurd spectacle, the X-ray of the guy who swallowed even his dog’s chain. A belly full of metal! What level of madness are we living in? The world’s upside down, folks. You don’t know whether to cross yourself or call the Men in Black anymore.

A MEXICO OF SHAMEFUL CONTRASTS

And in the midst of this chaos, the mirror of our rotten society spits back in our faces. Look at the bottom corner. On one side, the latest “buchona” (a term used to describe a woman who flaunts drug trafficking), the plastic influencer, taking a selfie in the bathroom, more concerned with the filter than with the country burning outside. Vanity at its peak.

And right next to it, the reality that should burn us to the core: a little boy, a kid who should be playing marbles, carrying a crate of vegetables heavier than himself to take a taco home. It’s outrageous! While some flaunt empty luxuries, our children are breaking their backs. If this isn’t hell, it’s certainly close!

Even the rich cry, and the military boot tightens.

The collapse is widespread. There’s Alejandra Guzmán, the iron-willed rocker, crying on national television too. When even your idols break down, you know things are really bad.

And in the streets, the tension is palpable. The photo of officers subduing someone on the ground reminds us that violence is commonplace. No one is safe.

CONCLUSION: A MONDAY TO FORGET

This is how we wake up, my friends. With 23 new coffins, with broken grandparents, with inexplicable phenomena, and with the certainty that we are living in dark times.

That “See more” on the phone wasn’t an invitation, it was a warning. The “National Blues” have seeped into our lives. Take good care of yourselves, hug your loved ones if you were lucky enough to see them today, and say whatever prayers you know, because it seems the bad streak is just beginning. May God have mercy on us in our Mexico!
